Queridas compañeras estamos iniciando una acción de firmas para respaldar #AbortoPorViolación en la discusión en el Pleno de la Asamblea que se realizará desde manana temprano en Quito. Como antecedente el texto que se aprobó en la Comisión de Justicia incluye violación, incesto, estupro y malformaciones incompatibles con la vida. Por favor para que lo puedan compartir en redes y eapacios que consideren. Nuestra compañera Virginia Gómez hablará en el Pleno exponiendo los argumentos y también expondrá la ministra, la defensora del Pueblo y otras instituciones a favor y 3 en contra. Les mantendremos informadas, el apoyo regional siempre es alentador e importante!!!
Dear compañeras, we are initiating a petition to support #AbortionAfterRape in the discussion in the Plenary of the Assembly that will take place in Quito. As background, the text that was approved in the Justice Commission includes rape, incest, and malformations incompatible with life. Please, share this petition in your networks and other appropriate places. Our colleague Virginia Gómez will speak at the Plenary, explaining the arguments and also the Minister, the People’s Defender and other institutions in favour of law reform and three speakers against.
